dc.description.abstractThis thesis presents a study of a wind turbine system based on a permanent magnet synchronous generator connected to a load. Machines of this type have a large number of poles and make it possible to develop considerable mechanical torques. Synchronous machines with permanent magnets are dedicated to wind turbine applications, standard construction machines with discoid generators (axial field), or with external rotor. The coupling of these machines with the power electronics becomes more and more economically viable. Which makes it a serious competitor of asynchronous generators.en_US
