dc.description.abstractThis research focuses on the experimental study of the effect of alkaline chemical pretreatment by potassium hydroxide (KOH) on the anaerobic digestion of sludge of Adrar lagoon station Under mesophilic conditions (35 °C). Various concentrations of KOH were tested: 0, 1, 5 and 7.5% (w / w) for 24 h. After 72 days of following, the results showed that there was a positive effect of alkaline pretreatment on the production of the biogas where a volume of biogas equal to 3213 ml got for the untreated case and 7638 ml for the case treated with 7.5% KOH.en_US
