التطورات السياسية في مملكة دارفور خلال الحرب العالمية الأولى 1914ـ 1918

Abstract

تاريخ هذه السلطنة، التي اسستها قبيلة الفور، اكبر قبائل اقليم دارفور يعود الى عام 1445، لكنها لم تزدهر وتكتسب سمعة سياسية وعسكرية، كتلك التي شهدتها في عهد اخر سلاطينها، على دينار، ورت علي دينار العرش من اجداده عام 1898، بالتزامن مع الغزو الإنجليزي للسودان و كان من ابرز الشخصيات التي نهضت ذلك الغزو. كانت سلطنة الفور او ما عرف لا حقا بإقليم دارفور اخر رقعة من الدولة السودانية بشكلها الجغرافي الحديث استطاع الغزو الإنجليزي اخضاعها لسلطته عام 1916م.
