Abstract

Khalil IbnIshaq’ Brief and its explanations are the basis of the most likely sayings adopted in The Maliki School. Algerian sharia scholars were not apart from contributing in the study of this brief. Therefore, Mohamed Ibn Mohamed Ezajlawi have taken part in the clarification of this reference. The present thesis investigates the introduction and chapter of purity so as to elucidate Ezajlawi’s method of explanation as well as show the scientific value added to Khalil’s Brief. Besides, this work brings to light one of the pioneers of Maliki School in Touat region and his contribution in establishing the basis of this school via his books and writing -both prose and poetry- that enriched the local Maliki school library.
