Abstract: The adoption of modern building materials such as cement, concrete and slurry in the desert areas led to the large consumption of energy. FromIn order to provide thermal comfort inside the building and to reduce this phenomenon we must use materials with characteristics suitable to the climate of the region, which has the characteristic of thermal insulation. In this work, we determined the physical properties such as thermal conductivity and the thermal flow of clay concrete and study the effect of moisture on these properties. We measured two types of samples, one containing sand powder and the other containing sand dunes. In good order we concluded that the latter buffer on the first. Based on the experimental results we found that thermal conductivity and thermal flow increase with increasing humidity.
