Abstract

The dissertation sheds light on one of the prominent poets in the region of Touat, Cheikh El bekri Ben Abderrahman ElTulilany (1339 AH). The research studies and investigates his poems in which he praises the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The number of EL-Cheikh El-Bakri’s poems on the subject of praising the Prophet and love towards the prophet reflected in the poems have made his name tied with the name of the prophet. The poems are filled with religious mystical words drawn from the sanctity of Islam and commitment to old poetic heritage. Nevertheless, such commitment did not prevent him from being an innovator in his writing in his time.
