Abstract

تعتبر مملكة سنغاي من أقدم الممالك في السودان الغربي حيث أنها عرفت حدود جغرافية هامة بالإضافة إلى أنها أصبحت خاضعة لمملكة مالي وحكمها ومن أهم ما تميزت بيه عند تأسيسها ازدهار وتوسع لبعض مناطق سودان الغربي بعد ذلك تشرع في ضعف بسبب عدة أسباب أدت إلى سقوطها بإضافة إلى جوانبها الاجتماعية من أهمها تركيبة المجتمع التي كان يقوم عليها ومن أبرز العلاقات داخل المجتمع نجد الزواج من خلال ذلك تكوين أسرة كما لعبت المرأة مكانة داخل هذه الأسرة ومن أشهر ما عرفت بيه سنغاي اللباس الخاص والعديد من الأطعمة والقيام بالاحتفالات في الأعياد والمناسبات التي كان لها طابع خاص داخل المجتمع وتميزت أيضاً بعادات وتقاليد.
