The industrial applications for driving the asynchronous machine pose many control and monitoring problems because the asynchronous machine is a non-linear and non-stationary system. This is why it is essential to use nonlinear techniques for the synthesis of observers allowing the estimation of the non-measurable state variables of the asynchronous machine. The aim of this work is to highlight the importance of techniques for estimating or observing the state variables of the asynchronous machine in order to replace the maximum number of hardware sensors with software sensors and consequently by minimizing the number of hardware sensors we improve the reliability of production systems based on electrical machines and we increase the knowledge necessary for the implementation of the control, monitoring and diagnostic procedures of these systems. Thanks to the development of techniques for estimating the parameters and the state of a system, in particular the techniques of the observer such as the nonlinear Luenberger observer, it is possible to estimate non-measurable state variables (rotor flux, rotation speed) from available measurements such as stator current measurements. Finally by finishing the work with the simulation results of these unmeasurable state variables and the electromagnetic torque.en_US
