Islam is religion of record. Its greatness is already established. Allah (SWT) sent His Messenger (SAW) to mankind as light through knowledge. He (SAW) has perfectly delivered the message of Islam to the satisfaction of his Creator –Allah- (SWT) before he finally answered the call of Allah, left behind duty of propagation to Islam for his companions and the scholars after them. Among those erudite scholars who stand for this great task is Imam Malik ibn Anas, born in Madinat 92 A.H, also died in Madinah 172 A.H. His forty years of unbroken strive in the cause of Allah earned him a very great position among the Muslim Scholars. A strong school of jurisprudence was later established after him. This paper aims to among others give summary but comprehensive introduction to Islam, presentation of Imam Malik's efforts to spread Islam through out the world through teaching, writing and giving fatwa -the Islamic legal view-, and to trace and study the establishment of his school of thought, its principles, rules and terms.en_US
