dc.description.abstractIn this work, we have presented a simplified method for sizing of stand-alone photovoltaic system intended for outdoor lighting. This method has been practically applied by choosing the Renewable Energy Research Unit in Saharan Middle as case study. The lighting kits have been financially estimated in order to make comparison with conventional systems. The work has been completed by a follow-up of functioning of stand-alone kits installed before as well as a diagnosis of encountered problems.en_US
